| I own New Alto LXI 2010, It's been 6 months since i had purchased, millage is amazing, its about 21 Kmpl. But its true when AC is on you feel as if pick is down. Otherwise everything is fine and best with Alto for that price. |

| ALTO is best car in small cars.it gives 20 kmpl on highway and in city it gives 17 kmpl.best hatchback model in its segment.it gives complete satisfaction in both area hilly and plain.alto is also a low cost mantainance car. |

| Guys,
i am planing to buy an Alto LXI this week (in Navratra) only. Can you tell me who offers the best price in Delhi?
Also i visited 2 dealers and asked them for "BRIGHT RED" color they said that after Jan 2010 "BRIGHT RED" color is disconteniud, one of the delers is saying allow me 1 day or 2 I will try my best to arrange 1 for you. Is it really disconteniud?
My other question is how expensive is the maintenence of an Alto LXI? can i say first 3 years it can run on timly service only, i mean no spare part required.
Also tell me how much milage it give in City with AC? |

| Hello friends, I intend to buy Alto LXI BS III (WITH IMMOBILISER). This will be my first car. I know very little about cars. Can anyone be good enough to enlight me whether this will perfom well in long tours with four to five riders(including driver)? What about normal mileage in highways without AC? |

| Hi Mukherjee,Of course Alto is good for long distance driving too. I can perform well with 5 people(including driver). Dont expect it to perform like bit 1300 cc cars at such a less price. Without A/C, highway mileage will fall somewhere around 22 to 24(sensible driving). |

| Hi Swapan ,I am also the 1st owner and driving Alto LXI past 6 yrs.You are the 1st person i have come across who gets a milage of 10.1 km...you must be driving wrongly. In cities past 6 yrs i am getting no less than 18-19 kms with A/C |

| i hav been using it for 5 yrs..it has a stunting mileage ...power n performanc is ok..but u will hav to turn off ac on hilss or other steep places,... and i think its better for officers who hav to travel daily etc..and for long ride it wont insure much comfrt..and it can adjust 4 ppl 4 lng tour with better comfort 4 all..anddddstylish.. and its seat is at a lower position which makes ride a little difficult..bt p/s makes the ride easier.. |

| Hi Syed ,I have been driving Alto past 6 yrs. With A/C on and the road good on Highways i get a milage of 24 kms but only if i drive as per the gear changing speed rules and less braking and clutch. |

| I think only good comments are being published here! I am using Alto LX more than 4 years (First owner). Mileage is never more than 10.5 and inside city even less. Repairing is a headache because i come back every time with the same complaints after repair. Perhaps for the price you have to make such compromises ?! |

| i m bit confused between alto LXi &Indica Xeta GLS.....alto it good car to buy in every ways, but not powerful as 1193cc engine of xeta....it is a powerful vehicle. But ,i have listen many complaints about tata Indica xeta ...and in other hand alto
is fuel efficient less maintainance vehicle ......so

| I have seen many broken Indicas here and there, but never seen a brokendown alto, please buy alto, less maintenance and best car you can expect for the kind of performance it gives and its maintenance |

| The car's ac is very good but when we turn on ac the car's accelaration power decreases and the car began to drag.so when we wants to go speeder in 2 and 3 gears we must switch of the ac.other wise it is a cool good car.thank you |

| Alto ac is very powerful and it cools the car quickly.Pick up of all small cars including Santro,I10 ,Spark etc is slower with ac on and it is the same with Alto.Alto suspension is extremely good, it is better than Santro,I10 and its suspension is at par with Spark. |

| Hello Nipun, I think you havnt tested the Hyundai i10 1.2 Kappa. I am not considering the price, but for heavens shake do not say that pick up of all small cars including Santro, i10 etc is slower with AC on. If you test this Hyundai i10 1.2 Kappa, your immagination will change definitely. With the AC on this car will not let you feel the drag which you will feel with the AC on in Maruti Alto. Even the Maruti A-Star or Maruti Swift does not have these problem, because they have a hardy Machine compared to Mauti Alto. Regarding Suspension, I dont know whether you had a ride in Hyundai i10, it is just like a knife through butter. Alto is not that smooth. Well if you consider the price, then definitely Alto is good as because you will get Alto for 2.8 to 3.00 lakhs whereas Hyundai i10 1.2 Kappa is 4.5 to 5 Lakhs, so naturally it should give you a more comfort ride compared to Alto. |

| Well well,the Kuppa raises another debate here and due to its price it is not competing with Alto.please see the in gear acceleration figures (20 to 80 in third and 40 to 100 in fourth gear) for both I10 1.1 and I10 1.2 kappa .You will be surprised that the Kuppa has much slower in gear acceleration than the 1.1 version even.(see any issue of Autocar magazine for this )Therefore kuppa is more powerful on paper only and in real life a normal 1.1 version is peppier.There is no question of spending more money on Kuppa then.Now,switching on ac will definitely slow down all cars and Kuppa is no exception.In any case Kuppa has lower torque at low speeds. |

| Alto Lxi is a middle class man's dream car and is good for small family size of 2+1 (husband, wife & 1 kid). I have done many long drives and yes when AC is on it dies down but thats ok. Use AC intermittently to over come this |
